·         Q1. What is Mobilink DoubleUP Number Service?

Mobilink DoubleUP Number is an exciting service through which you can get an additional Mobilink Number on your existing Mobilink SIM.

·         Q2. Do I need a special SIM or phone to subscribe to this service?

No. You do not need any special SIM or phone to subscribe to DoubleUP Number Service. This service can work on any standard mobile or any smart phone.

·         Q3. How can I subscribe to Mobilink DoubleUP Number?

You can easily subscribe for this service via IVR or SMS as follows:

IVR: Dial 4030 from your Mobilink Number and when prompted press 1 to confirm subscription.
SMS: Type “SUB” and send it to 4030.
In both cases when subscription is complete, an SMS will be sent to you containing your Mobilink DoubleUP Number.

·         Q4. Do I have a choice in selecting my DoubleUP Number?

At the moment we do not provide a choice in number selection for your DoubleUP Number.

·         Q5. How many DoubleUP Numbers can I subscribe to at a time?

You can subscribe for 1 DoubleUP Number against your regular Mobilink number.

·         Q6. Who can subscribe Mobilink DoubleUP Number?

All Mobilink Prepaid customers can subscribe for Mobilink DoubleUP Number.
(Note: Mobilink DoubleUP Number Service is not available for Postpaid Customers)

·         Q7. How can I make a call from Mobilink DoubleUP Number?

To make a call from your Mobilink DoubleUP Number, simply add 88 before the number you are calling. For example if you want to call 03001234567, you would dial 8803001234567.
The called party will see your DoubleUP Number as CLI. This will be look like a regular Mobilink number e.g. 03011234567.

·         Q8. Can i call any number from my mobilink DoubleUP Number or am i restricted to calling only mobilink numbers?

As long as you have sufficient funds, you can call any local number within Pakistan from your Mobilink DoubleUP Number. Just add 88 before the desired number. For call charges refer to charges section.
However International outgoing calling facility is not offered on DoubleUP Number.

·         Q9. How will someone call me on my DoubleUP Number?

Anyone calling you on your DoubleUP Number can simply dial your DoubleUP Number just like they would any other Mobilink number without adding any prefix.

·         Q10. How will I know that an incoming call is on my DoubleUP Number?

When you receive a call on your Mobilink DoubleUP Number, 88 is added before the caller’s number in the CLI. For example if you receive a call from 03001234567 on your DoubleUP Number, than the CLI will show 8803001234567.

·         Q11. How can I send aN SMS using Mobilink DoubleUP Number?

To send an SMS from your Mobilink DoubleUP Number, simply add 88 before the desired number. For example if you want to send an SMS to 03001234567 then add 88 before this number i.e. 8803001234567 & the SMS receiver will get your DoubleUP Number as CLI.

·         Q12. How can I know that a received SMS is on my DoubleUP Number?

When you receive a SMS on your Mobilink DoubleUP Number, 88 is added before the sender number. For example if you receive an SMS from 03001234567 then it will be shown as 8803001234567.

·         Q13. Do I Need Separate Balance for my Mobilink DoubleUP Number?

No, your primary number (existing number) balance will be used for Mobilink DoubleUP Number’s calls and SMS.

·         Q14. Can I make call on ptcl numbers using my DoubleUP Number?

Yes. You can make calls on PTCL numbers using your DoubleUP Number

·         Q15. Can I receive call on my DoubleUP Number from a ptcl number?

Yes. You can receive call on your DoubleUP Number from a PTCL number.

·         Q16. Can I make call on numbers on International Roaming from my DoubleUP Number?

Yes. DoubleUP Number calls can be connected on the roaming numbers

·         Q17. What Value added features do I get with Mobilink DoubleUP Number?

With Mobilink DoubleUP Number you can:

• Log off your DoubleUP Number
• Set Schedule Log-off of your DoubleUP Number
• Mobilink DoubleUP Number Block Service

·         Q18. What is Permanent Logoff and how does it works?

To avoid all incoming calls and SMS on your DoubleUP Number you can log off your DoubleUP Number. With Logoff you don’t need to switch off your Mobile Phone or Primary Number, Just log-off your Mobilink DoubleUP Number, and you will not receive any Calls or SMSs on your Mobilink DoubleUP Number.

·         Q19. How can I log-off my Mobilink DoubleUP Number?

To Log Off, Dial 4030 from your Mobile.
On IVR: Dial 4030 from your Mobile and when prompted press 1. You will hear a log off confirmation announcement.
SMS: Type “logoff” and send it to 4030
After log off you will not receive any incoming calls or SMSs on your Mobilink DoubleUP Number till you log back on.

·         Q20. How can I log on to my Mobilink DoubleUP Number?

Via IVR: If you are logged off and want to log back on, dial 4030 and when prompted, press 1 to
Via SMS: Type “login” and SMS to 4030.
Once you are login, you’ll receive all incoming calls and SMS on your Mobilink DoubleUP Number.

·         Q21. What is scheduled log off?

With Scheduled log-off your Mobilink DoubleUP Number will auto log off during pre-defined timings. For example if you don’t want to receive calls between 05:00PM and 09:00PM, then you can set log off times between 05:00PM & 09:00PM. At 09:00PM your Mobilink DoubleUP Number will automatically log back on.

·         Q22. How can I set schedule logoff for my DoubleUP Number?

Dial 4030 from your mobile, and when prompted select 2 for scheduled log off.
After selecting schedule log off, enter your log off start time and press #; then enter the end time and save the schedule. Your Mobilink DoubleUP Number will be automatically logged off during the scheduled timings.

·         Q23. What is DoubleUP Number Block Service?

An exclusive block service is offered only to Mobilink DoubleUP Number subscribers through which DoubleUP Number subscribers can block unwanted calls & SMSs on their DoubleUP Number.

·         Q24. How can I Subscribe to DoubleUP Number Block Service?

Dial 5929 to get subscription of Mobilink DoubleUP Number Block service or SMS “SUB” to 5929

·         Q25. How can I Block any unwanted number?

Via IVR: Dial 5929 and press 1 to select “Block Number”; enter the complete number (using your keypad). You do not need to add the 88 prefix before the number.
Via SMS: SMS Block and send it to 5929 e.g. Block 03001234567 and send it to 5929
After successful block, the block number will not be able to call or SMS your DoubleUP Number.

·         Q26. How can I Unblock any caller?

Via IVR: Dial 5929 and when prompted, press 2 to select “Un Block Number”, and enter the complete number (using your keypad). You do not need to add 88 before the number.
Via SMS: SMS Unblock and send it to 5929 e.g. Unblock 03001234567 and send it to 5929
After successful unblock, the number will able to call or SMS on your DoubleUP Number.

·         Q27. How many numbers can i block at a time?

There is no limit on the number of phone numbers you can add to a block list.

·         Q28. Will a blocked caller know that i have blocked him/her?

No. When someone on your block list calls you, they will only hear a “user busy” announcement.

·         Q29. What are the SMS commands for Mobilink DoubleUP Number?
